*It was a sunny cold day in Greeley Colorado, Christmas Eve, and Ian Anderson was in his new home with his new partner, Zephyrmon. It was two weeks since she had adopted him and she had gotten a job as a landscape artist and was getting well paid for her paintings, thereby being able to afford furniture. Ian didn't know what is he was going expect this year; this was going to be his first Christmas with someone as his family. He was sitting on the couch, thinking about the upcoming holiday*

Ian:  *sigh* Zephyrmon sure has been good to me since she adopted me; I know she doesn't want me to call her mom, but…I wanna do something for her for Christmas. But what??
*As he was thinking, Zephyrmon came in from outside, she was in the clothes she wore when she first adopted Ian*

Zephyrmon: Ian, I'm back.

Ian: *turns to her* Oh, hi. What's it like outside?

Zephyrmon: Very cold, although, the decorations were very nice. Ian, explain to me again, this "Christmas".

Ian: Well, it's the time of year where we celebrate with family and friends, also celebrating peace on earth and good will towards men. It's also the day Jesus Christ was born.

Zephyrmon: Oh yes, I've heard some people on the sidewalks singing about him, they sung quite well.

Ian: *smiles* Yeah, that's one of my favorite things to see at this time of year, when I was back at the orphanage; Mr. Dalton would take the kids to church and the mall to hear the carolers sing. We did that last year…that was Sally's first Christmas at the orphanage.

Zephyrmon: *raises an eyebrow* Sally?

Ian: Sally Swanson, she was a girl a year younger than me, aside from Mr. Dalton, she was my best friend. She came to the orphanage the week before Christmas. It was a lot of fun, but then the day before I met you, she was adopted…and I don't know if I'll ever see her again.

Zephyrmon: Hmmm, it sounds to me that Sally was very special to you Ian.

Ian: *nods*She was, I mean, I really liked her; she was a good girl and a great friend. I just hope wherever she is her new family is treating her ok.

Zephyrmon: I'm sure she's fine Ian. Look, I have an idea.

Ian: *looks up at her* What's that?

Zephyrmon: How about you and I do something for the orphanage? A way to say thank you for their kindness towards you all those years.

Ian: *pause*That's a very good idea Zephyrmon! I'll think of something, in the meantime, why don't you and I go shopping for Mr. and Mrs. Dalton?

Zephyrmon: Ok, they deserve something nice for taking care of you.

*Ian smiled as he stood up with Zephyrmon, she got her disguise on and they walked off to the Greeley Wal-Mart to look for gifts for Mr. and Mrs. Dalton. When they arrived, Ian was looking around the men's clothing. Trying to look for a special suit that Mr. Dalton would like. Ian looked them over carefully, then he spotted a white tuxedo suit across from him that would look perfect for Mr. Dalton. He walked over to it, and right before he want over, someone ran into him, causing them both to fall to the floor*

Ian: Hey! What's the big ide-*eyes widen* No way!

*Ian had looked to see he had bumped into Sally Swanson, she looked up and her eyes flew open wide*

Sally: Ian!!!*she ran up to him and hugged him*

Ian: Sally!! *hugs her back*

Sally: Ian, it's so good to see you! What are you doing here anyway?*eyes widen* Oh don't tell me…

Ian: Yep, I've been adopted!

Sally: *eyes widen with joy and she hugs him again* That's wonderful!!! I'm so happy for you! What are your mother and/or father like?? Please tell me!

Ian: It's going well, my mom's single and she's a landscape artist, I haven't seen her work personally, but she's really good to me.

Sally: That's fantastic! I knew you'd get a good family someday Ian!

Ian: Yeah, heh,  so how's it going with your family?

Sally: Very nice, my mom and dad are so sweet to me. They even have a surprise for me for Christmas.

Ian: Cool.

Sally: Yeah, so where is your mom?

Ian: She's over in the woman's department; she and I decided to do something nice for the Orphanage since they were so good to me all my life.

Sally: Awww, that's so sweet Ian.

Ian: *Smiles*Yeah, I'm trying to find something for Mr. Dalton, but I'm also looking for something for someone else.

Sally: Who?

Ian: My mom, it's been two weeks since she adopted me and she's been so good to me, I wanna get something for her for Christmas. Maybe you could help me out Sally.

Sally: Sure, I'll help in any way I can.

Ian: Great, c'mon, let's go find something for her and Mr. Dalton.

*And so, after grabbing the suit for Mr. Dalton, Ian and Sally went to go find Zephyrmon a gift. Meanwhile in the women's department; Zephyrmon, in her disguise was looking around for a gift for Mrs. Dalton, looking at the bras*

Zephyrmon: *looks at the bras curiously* Female humans are supposed wear those? *sigh* These humans can be so strange…

*Just then, a store clerk walked up to her*

Clerk: May I help you miss?

Zephyrmon: *turns to face her* I think you might be able to, could tell me where the women dresses are?

Clerk: Of course, up this isle and go left you can't miss 'em.

Zephyrmon: Thank you.*goes to the women's dresses. When she's there, she looks through the dresses to pick out something Mrs. Dalton would like, but she couldn't make up her mind*

Zephyrmon: Hmm, I can't decide. I should probably ask Ian, he knows her better than I do. *She turns, but soon she sees Ian and Sally talking to each other, Ian had a box in his hand.*

Ian: Are you sure she'll like it Sally?

Sally: *smiles*Trust me Ian, she'll love it.

Ian: I hope so.

Sally: Well, I better get going; my parents are over at the electronics. But before I go, here's my address.*she takes out a piece of paper and writes down her address* That way you guys can stay in touch with me.

Ian: *smiles* Thanks so much Sally, bye. And Merry Christmas.

Sally: Merry Christmas Ian.*hugs him and walks away.

*After Sally walked away, Zephyrmon walked over*

Zephyrmon: Who was that Ian?

Ian: *turns to her*Oh there you are Zephyrmon that was Sally, Sally Swanson.

Zephyrmon: Your friend from the Orphanage?

Ian: The very same, she had was here shopping with her parents.

Zephyrmon: I see, well, I need your assistance with finding a dress for Mrs. Dalton.

Ian: Ok I'll help you.

*Zephyrmon took Ian over to where to women's clothes were to help her pick something for Mrs. Dalton, all the while wondering what Ian had inside that box. After they picked a nice dress for Mrs. Dalton, Zephyrmon went to the check out and paid for the clothes and box. Afterwards, they went back to their apartment to wrap the gifts for Mr. and Mrs. Dalton. Also, Ian was by himself, wrapping the box he had from the store, he decided to hide it in his room until tomorrow morning, hiding it in his closet*

Ian: I sure hope she likes this…*walks out of the room*

*When I walked out, he noticed Zephyrmon was finished wrapping*

Ian: So Zephyrmon, are you done wrapping our gifts?

Zephyrmon: Yes, the wrapping is a little complicated, but I'm sure they'll love their gifts.

Ian: I hope so, let's see…*looks up at the clock* Ok, it's two thirty now, I think we should head over now. Seeing how it takes thirty minutes to get there.  What do you say Zephyrmon?

Zephyrmon: Good idea, let's go.

*Once again, Zephyrmon got on her disguise as she and Ian took off for the Greeley Orphanage, Mr. and Mrs. Dalton's gifts in hand. They arrive and walk in and see Mr. Dalton in the lobby, putting the last ornaments on the Orphanage's Christmas tree.*

Ian: Ok, since we're now here, I'll have to call you mom for now, ok Zephyrmon.

Zephyrmon: Alright, it's only for tonight though.

Ian: Right. *walks in with her to visit Mr. Dalton*

Mr. Dalton:  Oh Christmas tree
Oh Christmas tree
How lovely are your branches-

Ian: *smiles*Hello Mr. Dalton.

Mr. Dalton: *turns to see Ian and Zephyrmon in her disguise and smiles happily* Ian! Ms. Monroe! Welcome!

Zephyrmon: Merry Christmas Mr. Dalton.

Mr. Dalton: *smiles*And a very Merry Christmas to you both.

Ian: *smiles*We have gifts for you and Jessica.

Mr. Dalton: How thoughtful of you both, oh and Ian?

Ian: Yes?

Mr. Dalton: Will you be singing for us at the end of the night?

Zephyrmon: Singing?

Ian: Oh yeah, I almost forgot. Every year, a child here is picked to sing a Christmas song before we turn in for the night. Last year, Mr. Dalton promised I could perform this year*pause* And I might take him up on that offer.

Mr. Dalton: Good, very good. But for now, come, it's time for our Christmas dinner and it is a delicious roasted ham, cooked by my dear Jessica.

Ian: Awesome, I'm starving. C'mon mom, let's go eat.

Zephyrmon: Alright Ian.

*They walked with Mr. Dalton into the Orphanage cafeteria. All the children were there, hungry and ready to eat. They all greeted Ian warmly as he and Zephyrmon walked in to take a seat*

Mr. Dalton: Attention everyone tonight is the night of Christmas Eve, the one night of the year when we all truly come together as a family. And so tonight, before we begin this wonderful dinner, my dear wife shall lead us in grace.

Zephyrmon: *whispers to Ian* What's grace?

Ian: It's when we lower our heads, close our eyes with our hands together and one of us thanks the lord for bringing us together, when the person finishes with his/her thanks, we all say "amen". Then we dig in.

Zephyrmon: Very well.

*That's when everyone at the table lowers their heads in silence and Jessica speaks*

Jessica: Dear lord, thank you for bringing us together as a family at this time of year, we also thank you for helping our dear Ian Anderson at long last find someone to care for him. And We thank you for this bountiful table of food. Jesus in your name, amen.

All: Amen.

*After grace, everyone began eating. Ian was enjoying the meal especially, Zephyrmon was as well, she never had Human food, and she found to be quite delicious. Soon after the meal, everyone was taking a seat by where the Orphanage stage was, ready for Ian to perform a Christmas song.
Zephyrmon was sitting next to Mr. Dalton.*

Zephyrmon: Is this Ian's first time singing?

Mr. Dalton: Yes it is, he's never sung before, now he's going to for the first time.

Zephyrmon: Hmmm, *looks up at the stage*Interesting…

*Just then, Ian walked up on stage a little nervous, but preparing himself. That's when Mrs. Dalton walked on stage*

Mrs. Dalton: And now, Ian Anderson, with "Colorado Christmas" by Nitty Gritty Dirt Band.

*The children in the seats clap, along with Mr. Dalton, Zephyrmon claps a little too.*

Ian: *clears his throat and opens his mouth*

Looking out the window of this Hollywood hotel
You'd never know that it was Christmas Eve

The billboards and the neon's took the place of "Silver Bells"
And the tempter is eighty four degrees.

And I can hear the traffic on the crowded streets below
As the palm trees poke their heads above the seam

But there's not a single Reindeer and it hardly ever snows
And Santa drives a rows lows limousine.

But all along the Rockies you can feel it in the air
From Dolerite to Boulder down below

The closest thing to Heaven on this planet anywhere
Is a quite Christmas morning in the Colorado snow

I remember Christmases when I was just a boy
In the morning I would run to see the tree

And the carolers on the hillside sang their songs of Christmas joy
Well I always thought they sang them just for me

Now the sun is setting in the California sky
And I can't find the spirit anywhere

So I think it's time for me to tell Los Angeles goodbye
I'm going back home to look for Christmas there

But all along the Rockies you can feel it in the air
From Dolerite to Boulder down below

The closest thing to Heaven on this planet anywhere
Is a quite Christmas morning in the Colorado snow

It's a quite Christmas morning in the Colorado snow

*When Ian finished, everyone cheered happily, Zephyrmon couldn't believe her ears, Ian sang amazingly to her, she felt a tear trickle down her cheek, she quickly wiped it away and cheered for
Ian. Later, Ian and Zephyrmon told Mr. Dalton and everyone else goodbye as they headed home. When they got back, Zephyrmon got out of her disguise.*

Zephyrmon: Ian?

Ian: Yeah Zephyrmon?

Zephyrmon: You were…very good on that stage tonight. I enjoyed listening to you sing.

Ian: *Raises an eyebrow* Really? You really liked it?

Zephyrmon: Yes.*pause*Maybe you could sing for me more often, I mean…if you want.

Ian: *smiles*I wouldn't mind at all Zephyrmon, if it makes you happy. *walks off to his room*

Zephyrmon: *sits on the couch with a hand on her cheek* Ian has been very good to me…I should do something for him. But what to do…*she thinks and thinks until she gets an idea. She got up and got out her painting tools, a large blank piece of paper and started painting something. Meanwhile, as Sally was coming back from a sleigh ride with her parents and they're walking up to the door, she notices a small ball in the snow, and it's shivering.*

Sally: What the…*goes over to it and reveals a small pink creature with big cute red eyes, four big ears, two point straight up and two pointing down on the side of its head, pink ribbons with a medal with a symbol of a crescent moon, a long fur pointing off its forehead, no legs and five small purple claws on its hands. This was Lunamon.*

Sally: *gasps* Oh you poor thing!

Lunamon:  *doesn't speak and shivers*

Sally: Shhhhh, there there. Pretend you're a toy so my parents won't flip.

Lunamon: *still silent but slowly nods*
*When Sally was inside, she took the Lunamon to her bedroom, wrapping her in a blanket*

Lunamon: T-Thank you miss…

Sally: Please, call me Sally. Now, what's your name?

Lunamon: L-Lunamon, I'm a Digimon, short for D-Digital Monster.

Sally: You don't look like a monster, you're just the cutest thing I've ever seen.*giggles*

Lunamon: *giggles a little too, slightly blushing*But also Sally, I'm here for a reason…

Sally: Oh?

Lunamon: Yes.*shows her a metal object, it looks like Ian's Digivice, only hers has a pink ring around the screen*

*The next morning, it was Christmas day, Ian had woken up and was ready to give Zephyrmon's gift.*

Ian: *sighs*Here it goes…*he walks into the living room and finds Zephyrmon sitting the couch, like she was waiting for him*

Zephyrmon: Good morning Ian, Merry Christmas.

Ian: Merry Christmas Zephyrmon, I-I got something for you…

Zephyrmon: Really?

Ian: Yeah, when I met up with Sally yesterday, she helped me pick something out for you, so…um, I hope you like it. *gives her the box*

Zephyrmon: *opens the box and she sees a light blue dress that matches her hair and head wings. When she sees this, her eyes widen* Oh Ian, this is beautiful! I love it, thank you so much.

Ian: You're welcome Zephyrmon.

Zephyrmon: Oh and Ian, I have something for you too.

Ian: For me?

Zephyrmon: Yes.*she stands up and goes into the kitchen real quick and comes back with a beautiful painting a valley* This is for you Ian, I painted it last night.

Ian: *eyes widen* You painted that, for me??

Zephyrmon: Yes, do you like it??

Ian: I love it! It's beautiful, nicely done Zephyrmon! I'm gonna frame it and hang it on the wall!

Zephyrmon: *Chuckles* I'm glad you love it; I really do love this dress you bought me Ian. Thank you again Ian.

Ian: No sweat Zephyrmon, that's what the holidays are all about.

Zephyrmon: Giving each other gifts?

Ian: No, showing how much we care for each other. I know you may not be called my mom, but you're still my partner, and I'm really glad you are.

Zephyrmon: *can't help but smile a t that* Me too, Merry Christmas Ian.

Ian: *smiles back*Merry Christmas Zephyrmon.
Merry Christmas everybody=)
